Biofibers

four vials showing the transformation of gelatin power into fibers and yarn.

The biofibers project considers how we might make spinable fiber from bio-based materials. This multi-year project has explored both the production of fibers from bio-based materials (like gelatin) as well as a lab-scale fabrication pipeline for wet spinning novel fibers from experimental material solutions.
