Animated Linen is an exploration of how overtwisted linen can produce shape changing cloth when exposed to moisture. It is the research of Experimental Weaver in Residence Kathryn Walters. During the residency, she used the lab’s TC2 to explore how different configurations of S and Z twist yarn could produce different shape changing effects.
